I been a client since 2017 and I had a good experience with them as far as getting results and being treated like family, I had a major injury and the whole team was very supportive and stayed on top of my case, I was able to maintain my bills due to being out of work for a year and had a favorable outcome with my settlement which helped me start my business ventures, so thanks again to the team and if need be I’ll have them represent me in the future.More
Jason, Charlotte, and Tony were absolutely amazing! I was in a car accident 4 years ago, they made sure I was taken care of and even though we had a lot of set backs due to Covid, they never made me feel like my case (or me) were not important. Tony knew my medical history better than I did, Charlotte was always an absolute delight to talk to and was so kind, and Jason was just great! I'm really sad that I won't be talking to them anymore, they became like family! I know that is something a lot of people say, but it is 100% true with this team.More

To be honest, I wasn’t sure how this process would go since I usually let the auto insurance company handle accident. However, I would not hesitate to call upon the Pinder Plotkin legal team FIRST. They took on my case and exceeded expectations and removed any doubts I had. The folks at Pinder Plotkin fought through a long drawn out case, keeping my best interests in mind. A settlement was reached, more than what I would say, your insurance company would give. I’m extremely happy with the Pinder Plotkin team for their hard work, dedication to me as a client and as a veteran. I was treated with compassion, empathy and they communicated every step of the process. I high recommend the Pinder Plotkin legal team for your legal services. Thank you Pinder Plotkin, truely, thank you.More

In 2023, Baltimore County lost 91 people to traffic crashes (MDOT / Zero Deaths Maryland).
This page covers how we handle cases locally. The statewide rules that decide them — the fault rule, the filing deadlines, and how benefits are calculated — live on our Maryland pages:
The at-fault driver and their insurer are usually liable. Depending on the crash, an employer (if the driver was working), the vehicle's owner, a government agency responsible for road or transit conditions, or a bar that overserved a drunk driver may also share responsibility.
Maryland follows strict contributory negligence: if you are found even 1% at fault, you can be barred from recovering anything. Insurers use this aggressively, so it is important to document the scene, avoid admitting fault, and get legal help early to protect your claim.
You generally have three years from the date of injury to file a lawsuit in Maryland. Claims against a government entity have much shorter notice deadlines — sometimes one year or less — so contact a lawyer quickly to avoid missing a critical deadline.
You may still recover through your own uninsured/underinsured motorist (UM/UIM) coverage, which Maryland policies are required to offer. These claims have their own rules and deadlines, so review your policy with an attorney before accepting any insurer's position.
Nothing upfront. We work on a contingency fee, which means you pay nothing unless we recover compensation for you. Your initial case review is free, and we advance case costs so you can focus on recovering rather than on legal bills.
Get to safety and seek medical care, even if you feel okay. Document the scene with photos, exchange contact and insurance details, and report the crash. Avoid giving a recorded statement to the other driver's insurer, and call a lawyer before accepting any settlement.

Parkville is unincorporated, so there is no Parkville court. A lawsuit from Parkville goes to the District Court of Maryland for Baltimore County or, where the amount in dispute exceeds $30,000, to the Circuit Court for Baltimore County in Towson.

A filing count is not a record of outcomes, and no past result guarantees a future one.
This firm started here. Ed Pinder opened Pinder Legal Team in Parkville in 2002 and practiced in Baltimore County for more than three decades. In May 2018 the county named Diamond #27 at Belmont Park “Pinder Field” in his honor, recognizing the years he spent leading the Parkville Recreation Council and coaching youth ball. Ed died the following month.
Parkville and Carney are usually spoken of together — the county library branch is the Parkville-Carney branch, and the two communities shared a business association for decades. For years the office was a storefront on Harford Road, a few doors from the Parkville Towne Center. It has since moved a few miles east to Nottingham. The county we started in has not changed, and neither has who we work for.

Jason Plotkin served as president of the Parkville-Carney Business Association for four years, from 2014 to 2018. The association has since closed. If you went to anything in Parkville in those years, he was probably the one holding the microphone: he emceed the association’s Spring Concert Series, spoke from the stage at the Parkville Fair, and in the summer of 2016 ran a free speaker series for residents at the Parkville Senior Center.
That work drew recognition from every level of Maryland government. The Baltimore County Council passed resolutions honoring his volunteer service in 2014, 2015 and 2016, including the 2015 Parkville Towne Center Fair volunteer award. The county executive’s office issued an executive citation in June 2015 for his advocacy on behalf of the Parkville commercial district, and a second in September 2016. In June 2015 Baltimore County’s Commercial Revitalization Awards gave the association its Best Business Website award and named Jason a nominee for Best District Advocate. The Maryland General Assembly and the Senate of Maryland each issued citations in 2014, 2015 and 2016 for volunteer service to Parkville, Carney and the surrounding communities. In September 2015 Governor Larry Hogan signed a Governor’s Volunteer Certificate.
The community work carried on after the PCBA years. Jason was an inaugural member of the Y in Central Maryland’s Parkville/Perry Hall community board, seated in 2017, and served on the board of directors of the Education Foundation of Baltimore County Public Schools from 2017 to 2020.
