I been a client since 2017 and I had a good experience with them as far as getting results and being treated like family, I had a major injury and the whole team was very supportive and stayed on top of my case, I was able to maintain my bills due to being out of work for a year and had a favorable outcome with my settlement which helped me start my business ventures, so thanks again to the team and if need be I’ll have them represent me in the future.More

Jason, Charlotte, and Tony were absolutely amazing! I was in a car accident 4 years ago, they made sure I was taken care of and even though we had a lot of set backs due to Covid, they never made me feel like my case (or me) were not important. Tony knew my medical history better than I did, Charlotte was always an absolute delight to talk to and was so kind, and Jason was just great! I'm really sad that I won't be talking to them anymore, they became like family! I know that is something a lot of people say, but it is 100% true with this team.More

I cannot thank the team at Pinder Plotkin enough for their compassion, patience, and relentless dedication throughout my car accident case. They went above and beyond — jumping through hoops, explaining every step with care, and standing by me when I felt overwhelmed or lost. The communication was incredible, and I always knew I was in good hands. I truly appreciate everything they did to help me get through such a stressful time. Highly recommend to anyone looking for people who genuinely care about their clients.More

To be honest, I wasn’t sure how this process would go since I usually let the auto insurance company handle accident. However, I would not hesitate to call upon the Pinder Plotkin legal team FIRST. They took on my case and exceeded expectations and removed any doubts I had. The folks at Pinder Plotkin fought through a long drawn out case, keeping my best interests in mind. A settlement was reached, more than what I would say, your insurance company would give. I’m extremely happy with the Pinder Plotkin team for their hard work, dedication to me as a client and as a veteran. I was treated with compassion, empathy and they communicated every step of the process. I high recommend the Pinder Plotkin legal team for your legal services. Thank you Pinder Plotkin, truely, thank you.More

Free Case Value Calculator

Get a fast, free estimate of what your case could be worth.

The calculator below is a working tool, not a contact form. Nine questions, about three minutes, and you get an estimated settlement range for a Maryland car accident claim.

What the nine questions ask
  • Jurisdiction and date — which state’s rules apply, and whether you are still inside the filing deadline
  • Accident and property damage — how the collision happened and what it did to your vehicle
  • Injuries and MMI status — what you were diagnosed with, and whether you have finished treating
  • Medical bills and lost wages — your economic losses so far
  • Impact and history — how the injuries changed your daily life, and your prior treatment

Free and no obligation. Your name, email, and phone number are required on the final step before the estimate is shown. The result is an estimate for information only — it is not legal advice or a promise of any outcome.

Nottingham Personal Injury FAQs

Who can be held liable for a Nottingham car accident?

The at-fault driver and their insurer are usually liable. Depending on the crash, an employer (if the driver was working), the vehicle's owner, a government agency responsible for road or transit conditions, or a bar that overserved a drunk driver may also share responsibility.

How does Maryland's contributory negligence rule affect my claim?

Maryland follows strict contributory negligence: if you are found even 1% at fault, you can be barred from recovering anything. Insurers use this aggressively, so it is important to document the scene, avoid admitting fault, and get legal help early to protect your claim.

How long do I have to file a personal injury claim in Nottingham?

You generally have three years from the date of injury to file a lawsuit in Maryland. Claims against a government entity have much shorter notice deadlines — sometimes one year or less — so contact a lawyer quickly to avoid missing a critical deadline.

What if the other driver was uninsured or underinsured?

You may still recover through your own uninsured/underinsured motorist (UM/UIM) coverage, which Maryland policies are required to offer. These claims have their own rules and deadlines, so review your policy with an attorney before accepting any insurer's position.

How much does it cost to hire the Pinder Plotkin Legal Team?

Nothing upfront. We work on a contingency fee, which means you pay nothing unless we recover compensation for you. Your initial case review is free, and we advance case costs so you can focus on recovering rather than on legal bills.

What should I do right after an accident in Nottingham?

Get to safety and seek medical care, even if you feel okay. Document the scene with photos, exchange contact and insurance details, and report the crash. Avoid giving a recorded statement to the other driver's insurer, and call a lawyer before accepting any settlement.

Where we file, and how often

Baltimore County

In court: Jason Plotkin and Anthony (Tony) Balsamo, attorneys of record in 257 Baltimore County cases since 2017 — 95 in the Circuit Court for Baltimore County, 162 in the District Court of Maryland for Baltimore County.

Where a Nottingham case is filed

Nottingham, Perry Hall and White Marsh are all unincorporated, so there is no local court. A lawsuit goes to the District Court of Maryland for Baltimore County or, where the amount in dispute exceeds $30,000, to the Circuit Court for Baltimore County in Towson.

Source: Maryland Judiciary Case Search, records naming Jason Plotkin or Anthony (Tony) Balsamo as attorney of record, 1 January 2017 to 4 September 2026. Search “Plotkin, Jason” and “Balsamo, Anthony”. Most injury claims settle before anyone files a lawsuit, so a filing count is a floor, not a total. A filing count is not a record of outcomes, and no past result guarantees a future one.

Rooted in this community since 2002

This practice has been handling Baltimore County claims since 2002. For years the office was a storefront on Harford Road; today it is at 4300 Ridge Road in Nottingham, a few minutes from Perry Hall and White Marsh. The county we started in has not changed, and neither has who we work for.

The connection is not only professional. Anthony “Tony” Balsamo, the firm’s litigation partner, lives in Perry Hall, and Jason Plotkin has family in the area.

Community work in Baltimore County

The firm runs its Circle of Trust community day at Angel Park on Honeygo Boulevard in Perry Hall — a free afternoon for families, a few minutes up the road from the office. Jason Plotkin is a member of the Perry Hall White Marsh Business Association. Before that he spent four years, from 2014 to 2018, as president of the Parkville-Carney Business Association a few miles west along Harford Road. That association has since closed. Residents of Nottingham, Perry Hall and White Marsh turned out for the events it ran — the town fair and the summer concert series — the same way they turn out for their own.

That work drew recognition across Baltimore County. The county council passed resolutions honoring his volunteer service in 2014, 2015 and 2016. The county executive’s office issued executive citations in June 2015 and September 2016. In June 2015 the county’s Commercial Revitalization Awards gave the association its Best Business Website award and named Jason a nominee for Best District Advocate. The Maryland General Assembly and the Senate of Maryland each issued citations in 2014, 2015 and 2016. In September 2015 Governor Larry Hogan signed a Governor’s Volunteer Certificate.

He was also an inaugural member of the Y in Central Maryland’s Parkville/Perry Hall community board, seated in 2017, and served on the board of directors of the Education Foundation of Baltimore County Public Schools from 2017 to 2020.
