Jason Plotkin, Esq. is the CEO and Managing Attorney of the Pinder Plotkin Legal Team, a Maryland personal injury and workers’ compensation firm whose practice has served Maryland clients since 2002. Jason joined the practice in 2012 and co-founded the Pinder Plotkin Legal Team with Edward Pinder in 2015; he became CEO and Managing Attorney in 2017. A life member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum — a distinction held by fewer than 1% of U.S. attorneys — Jason has been selected to Maryland Super Lawyers every year from 2020 through 2026 and is a current member of the National Trial Lawyers Top 100. In 2021, he received Clio’s inaugural Legal Impact Award and was honored at the Reisman Awards. Jason is the best-selling author of Crash Course: To Recovery and Beyond (2024), which draws on his own experience surviving two serious auto accidents. He is a national speaker on auto injury litigation, rideshare claims, and workers’ compensation, and teaches continuing legal education through the National Business Institute. J.D. with honors, Syracuse University College of Law.
The Pinder Plotkin Legal Team focuses on personal‑injury cases involving auto, Uber/Lyft, motorcycle and truck accidents, as well as workers’ compensation, wrongful‑death and estate‑planning matters. According to Lawful.com’s directory, the firm treats each case with dedication and offers free basic wills to first responders. Jason has been recognized by the National Trial Lawyers Top 100, the Daily Record’s VIP List – Successful Under 40 and SmartCEO’s Center of Influence. Clients and colleagues describe his practice as compassionate, effective and relentlessly client‑focused.
Jason writes consumer‑focused legal guides to help accident victims navigate complex systems. His book “Crash Course: To Recovery and Beyond” (2024) offers practical checklists and mental‑health guidance for individuals recovering from auto accidents and is available on Amazon. He is also the author of “The Role of a Chiropractor in Treating Auto Accident Injuries,” a legal resource advertised in the Maryland Chiropractic Association’s journal; the guide became a #1 new release in personal‑injury law and explains how chiropractors help accident victims. Readers can access it on Amazon. Jason’s third book, “Protecting the Rights of Motorcycle Riders and Their Families,” focuses on motorcycle safety and legal recovery. It covers topics such as accident statistics, immediate steps to take at the scene, post‑accident medical treatment, proving fault and evidence, filing a claim and pursuing damages, and prevention tips.
In addition to his books, Jason hosts educational videos on the firm’s YouTube channel and provides free will‑drafting services for first responders to honor their sacrifices. The “Chiropractor” guide and the offer for a complimentary copy appear in the March, January and May 2024 issues of the MCA Journal, underscoring its value to healthcare professionals and accident victims. He also shares insights in articles such as the DevX piece on using customer testimonials and the Lawyer Magazine article on navigating personal‑injury cases.
Jason has presented dozens of continuing‑education programs for lawyers, medical professionals and community groups. In 2020 he partnered with APTA Maryland to deliver webinars on telehealth, workers’ compensation 101 and auto‑accident law, offering clear guidance on regulations, documentation and claim processes; this collaboration was highlighted in a PRWeb announcement. He has been a featured lecturer at the Maryland Chiropractic Association’s Spring and Fall forums and contributes articles to its journals. Earlier in his career Jason taught seminars for the National Business Institute (NBI), including:
Jason also leads community education initiatives. As President of the Parkville‑Carney Business Association (PCBA) he helped organize the Parkville Towne Center Fair and Spring Concert Series and launched a consumer‑education speaker series at the Parkville Senior Center. He frequently speaks to civic groups, including the Chinese American Parent Association of Howard County, on topics ranging from hate‑bias reporting to self‑defense laws and insurance claims. His educational outreach extends to social media; for example, the firm’s Facebook page shares resources and videos such as a walk‑through of a workers’‑compensation auto‑accident case and interviews on YouTube and YouTube.
Service is a core value for Jason. He chairs the Baltimore Firefighters Community Advisory Council (BFCAC), where he works to strengthen partnerships between Baltimore’s firefighters and local residents. In this role he advocates for resource allocation, facilitates dialogue between unions and the community and champions programs that support first responders. His efforts to uplift Baltimore neighborhoods are also recognized in an EINPresswire feature on community leader Arthur “Squeaky” Kirk. Jason supports the Ruth M. Kirk Recreation & Learning Center, serves on the board of the Laurel Board of Trade, organizes fundraising for West Baltimore charities and provides pro‑bono legal services through initiatives like Wills for First Responders.
He actively supports Maryland’s first responders by drafting wills, participates in local charities and dedicates roughly 25 percent of his time to community service. As the former President of the Parkville‑Carney Business Association he helped organize major community events such as the Parkville Towne Center Fair and the Spring Concert Series; his family often joins him at local events — including the Main Street Pup Crawl Costume Contest, where his daughter once proudly served as his “judicial assistant”. In his spare time Jason enjoys cooking, cheering for the Orioles and Ravens, and competing in fantasy football.
Jason continues to recover millions of dollars on behalf of injured clients and remains a vocal advocate for fair insurance practices. Whether litigating complex cases, educating fellow professionals or volunteering, he demonstrates that the law can be both compassionate and effective. Additional local coverage of his community efforts can be found on Patch’s Parkville page and the PCBA’s Facebook presence.
